Christian Louboutin x Maison Margiela

Born from an artistic dialogue between the two Houses, this capsule collection brings together their unique identities. The new symbiosis reinterprets the signature codes fusing the femininity and unique savoir-faire of Maison Christian Louboutin, with the avant-garde aesthetic of Maison Margiela. Imagined as twin capsule: Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin and Christian Louboutin by Maison Margiela, this proposition offers pumps, ballerinas and boots for women.

Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin

In this collection, Maison Margiela's iconic Tabi is revisited through the curvaceous and feminine form language of Christian Louboutin. This new line redefines it with a subtle sensuality, between heritage and innovation. Marlougiela, a ballerina sleekly elongated and narrowed in shape, captures the essence of Christian Louboutin and seduces, in turn, with its highly sculptural lines.

Loubiella, a sandal inspired by Christian Louboutin's Rosalie silhouette and set on a 100 mm stiletto, features an asymmetrical strap that reveals the sensuous curve of the foot and elegantly embraces the ankle. Finally, the Bridiela Una Strass pump crafted in mesh, is sublimated by the hand-made adornment of crystals, a signature of Maison Christian Louboutin, and embodies timeless elegance. The shoes in this unique capsule are all adorned with the iconic red sole, Maison Margiela's signature white stitch and a shared logo, symbol of creativity in synergy.

Christian Louboutin's seductive silhouettes are reinterpreted through Maison Margiela's subversive lens, using the techniques of “bianchetto”, achieved through a white overpaint, and “décortiqué”, which consists of reducing the shoe to its core structure. The Bilougiela 25, an ankle-strap sandal set on a 100 mm heel, reveals its layers under the partly peeled black patent leather.

The Martinloula, a pointed pump with the “faux-cul” heel cap imagined by Christian Louboutin for the Maison Margiela 2024 Artisanal collection, features leather deconstructed and draped into layered panels that wrap the form. The Xrismarteen, a boot whose leather collapses into draped strips along its shaft, hints Maison Margiela's notion of “hacking”, which simulates the tear of paper. Finally, the Martoubi 25 is a white pump whose heel is daubed in a spontaneous red brushstroke: homage to the Maison's “bianchetto” and the famous red sole.
