Home to some of Europe’s most exceptional flower specimens, the Jardin des Plante’s Grande Serre greenhouse provided an ideally lush setting for Christian Louboutin’s Fall-Winter 2019/20 presentation on the 26th of February.
Built as a succession of rooms — each one dedicated to a different climate — this majestic Art Deco greenhouse at the heart of Paris’ fifth arrondissement is close to Christian’s heart as it unties the two of his greatest passions in life — Paris and its end of the 19th century architecture, and travel in the guise of the different specimens collected by botanists from all over the world.

Taking its cues from the theme of nature, the collection was presented in the midst of a luxuriant jungle, hidden deep within the heart of the Grande Serre. Ever at the forefront of technology and innovation, guests were invited to watch the collection literally bloom to life thanks to a series of stunning animated light paintings, taking them on a Rouge Tropical Louboutin journey.
